Who I am
I’m an American writer, filmmaker, and journalist whose work focuses on breaking down ideas, scientific research, history and politics, as well as the meaning and methods of art to general audiences.
What I’ve done
I’ve produced daily segments and in-person events for the live public affairs radio program AirTalk with Larry Mantle on the Los Angeles NPR member station LAist 89.3; I’ve cut tape and reported breaking stories as a Line Producer on LAist newscast programs such as All Things Considered; I’ve researched the latest scientific discoveries alongside scientists and researchers at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) for their podcast Third Pod from the Sun; and I’ve hosted conversations with NASA scientists on the future of Earth and Space science for the audio series AGU Narratives.
Films I’ve made
I produced the stop-motion animated short film Sweetmeats which had its world premiere at SXSW (2024). Additionally, I produced the sci-fi/queer stop-motion animated short film Mother Bunker—a project that showcased in over thirty international film festivals, including the Melbourne International Film Festival (2020), and was programmed in the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art's Australian animation retrospective (2022).
